Volunteering & Community Initiatives
Our founder, W.K. Kellogg, led the way as a conservation activist and dedicated philanthropist with a visionary view of wellbeing. Mr. Kellogg believed that making the lives of children happier, healthier and more promising was important work. Today, understanding the impact of our business on both people and our planet is essential for us to be a sustainable business, one that withstands the test of time. In order to be successful, we will build this into our DNA to help us identify growth opportunities and proactively navigate the landscape to connect doing good with good business.
We are longstanding supporters of hunger programs, particularly those focused on children.
Through our decades-long partnerships with food banks and hunger relief organizations such as Feeding America and Food Banks Canada, we are committed to doing our small part to help fight hunger and food insecurity, united in our shared vision of a North America where no one goes hungry. And, when disaster strikes, we are swift and immediate in our response, lending support where and when it is needed most.
Our employees also take great pride in rolling-up their sleeves to give back and make a meaningful impact on our communities and always have. Together in the communities where we work and live, we have a proven track record of making a positive impact through employee volunteer efforts that improve access to food through food pantry donations and school meal programs.
And, through our annual United Way campaign, employees participate in a donation and volunteer drive to help fund local programming that benefits food banks, school breakfast programs and other much need community support.
Today, as we embark on our new journey as WK Kellogg Co and look ambitiously toward the future, this enduring commitment and passion to do good, give back, foster communities and support those in need will live on. It’s who we are, who we’ve always been, and who we will continue to be as we live our purpose to create joy and connections to inspire gr-r-reat days.
